Royal Engagement

The last few months have been a whirlwind of developments for the Scottish quartet, and last week (5th July) was no exception.

Vocal Fusion were invited to perform exclusively for HRH The Prince of Wales and his new wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh for a gala dinner for The Best of Scottish Arts.

In the presence of some of the UK’s leading actors, musicians and writers including Billy Boyd, Ian Rankin and Robert Carlisle the quartet performed a madrigal selection for the after dinner entertainment.

Following the performance both the Prince (who is President of The R.S.A.M.D) and the Duchess met all four members of the quartet remarking on “…how professional and inspirational a performance it was…”

The Principle of The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, John Wallace hailed the performance as "‘a great success" and congratulated the quartet on a highly impressive performance rivalling all previous RSAMD royal engagements.
